The Ledges By The Bay is a quaint and classic Maine motel that caters to the budget and family traveler who seeks clean and comfortable accommodations at a reasonable rate for Maine waterfront lodging in the Camden Maine area. The Ledges is not the highest-end lodging facility with a ton of pricy upscale amenities. Basically, we are a small motel that offers clean, friendly and affordable room accommodations with terrific water views.
We are often told that our oceanview rates are one of the best values when compared to other Camden Maine hotels, inns or lodging properties. Below, we have listed the lodging rates for a number of our local friendly competitors as well as the rates for more upscale and larger Camden Maine hotels and Inns during the summer high season for price comparison purposes. Some of these properties offer more upscale amenities and very nice accommodations but at a much higher price point. Indeed, many of our customers have told us that they were hard pressed to find a better value for Maine oceanfront lodging than the Ledges By The Bay in the Camden, Rockport or Rockland Maine area.

Literally set a top a small ledge overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the Ledges By The Bay captures Midcoast Maine at its finest. The motel is just 5 minutes south of Camden Maine. Located on U.S. 1., the motel property sits adjacent to a Maine State scenic overlook and visitor rest area with water views. The motel is just a few moments away from the quaint villages of Camden, Rockport and Rockland with shops, antiques, galleries, museums, sailing, hiking, biking and even whale watching, all within reach.
The motel is nestled at the foot of a small cove on approximately 9 oceanfront acres with large lawns which gradually slope down to the shore. The property has 890 feet of shore frontage with shore access so guests can easily explore a part of the Maine coast. The Ledges was recently updated with a major renovation in 2000. There are three separate buildings. The majority of the rooms are ocean view which feature contemporary styling with two queen beds, two double beds, or a single king, remote control cable TV, high-speed cable internet access, wireless internet access points, and individual heat and air conditioning. All ocean view rooms offer sliding glass doors with private balconies overlooking the bay. There is also an outdoor heated swimming pool with views of the bay as well.
